11. Mountain Weather

When you request a weather forecast in MyPeaks, the app sends the place you selected (its name, coordinates and elevation) to the servers of MyPeaks together with your sign-in, so that we can verify your subscription and prevent misuse. To obtain the forecast, we send the coordinates and elevation of that place, and nothing else, to our weather data provider Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). Open-Meteo receives no account information and no device information from us, and the request is made from our servers, not from your device. A forecast is for a place you select; the weather feature does not read the location of your device. We count forecast requests per account to prevent misuse and to control costs. We keep forecasts for a short time so that the same place does not have to be requested again; these stored forecasts are not linked to your account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website and, if the changes are significant, we will notify you through the MyPeaks application or via email. Continued use of MyPeaks after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
